A place conceived in loving-kindness to help, reach-out, and connect families; to inspire, motivate and even validate the journey you find yourself on; to be a source of hope and a safe haven.
Created by former NBA star Chris Herren, a former Oxycontin addict who has now been sober for over six years, the foundation was initially started to help pay for people’s drug treatment. Herren has since added numerous initiatives including Project Purple, which looks to create sober cultures for kids in schools, a Purple & Proud grant program to help create fun and substance-free after prom parties and events, and referral relationships with drug treatment centers across the country.
